Thanks to all the Samaritans (fellow Toastmasters, Friends and Guests) of tonight’s chapter meeting at the Toa Payoh Central Toastmasters Club, I have managed to collect a donation of $126 on the Children’s Cancer Foundation Pledge Card. 14 Kind Hearts have made their pledges. On behalf of the children cancer patients, my sincere Thanks to You !

A few of you have also informed that you will be making your pledges on-line, while some have collected the donation forms and will be making your pledges via that way. My sincere Thanks to You too !

Just to recap, come do your part through whichever means that is comfortable to you. The recent Szechuan earthquake & Myammar Cyclone may have already been “financially challengining”. Not all pledges needs to be done through financial means. You can make your differences and show your support through other means too. If you recall, I shared these methods that you could make your differences, though not exhaustive,
- Post a message on the shavee’s information page to show your support & encourgement
- Make an on-line pledge (accepts only Master or Visa)
- Make a pledge via the pledge card (shavees who have opted for it would have one with them)
- Make a pledge via the Donation Forms
- Walk-in on 6-July to shave your hair, but do it for a good cause, draw your supporters to make their pledges (CCF impose a $30 fee to deter anyone that attempt to have a free shave )
- Join me next year to sign-up on-line as registered shavees and encourage your friends to make their differences. Perhaps we could form a Toastmasters Shavees Team.
- Volunteer your time as volunteers to help out in CCF activities, such as the annual shave day.

Lastly, some logistics updates, I have booked my shaving slot at 12:30pm. The whole event last from 12:00pm to 7:00pm. 12:30pm is the first shaving slot, follow by half an hour each slot. If you have the time, come and show your support, but expect a big crowd then and there. Venue once again, is at the Velocity @ Novena Square, the main Atrium.
